Wow- really really good, hit all the key requirements for our family, save one minor one. Excellent flavors in each dish, excellent portion sizes, no grisle in the chicken for my wife, very friendly service, and all below $10 per meal- my kind of place. Oh yeah, and they serve coconut ice cream to cap things off. Only minor miss is the heat levels were a little weak- asked for extreme heat in my son's Tom Yum and it was maybe a 5 or 6. This has been a fairly common experience for us as most restaurants are hesitant to give him the heat he wants, but we will DEFINITELY be back here and as we get to know the staff I'm sure they'll get it right.

Overall everyone left extremely satisfied and I'm pumped to have given this Bhat Baitong Thai a go, suspect it will be our new go-to for Thai

The restaurant is along the same side as Goodwill. It's not a busy plaza and you'll find plenty of parking.

There are quite a few Thai restaurants in Lake Forest, and this is the third place that I've tried. I'm searching for the best Thai restaurant in the area and this is my review.

    1. Disappointed with fried tofu.  the other Time Rush added some greens with the fry tofu. But this restaurant only search fry tofu alone. I wish there was some veggies or something to go with this appetizer.

    2. Pineapple fried rice good. Compared to the other restaurants, I think this one was really good too. Don't have any complaints.

    3. Generous portion of curry but  why extra $1.50 for rice and $2 for brown rice?? So I like the portion of the curry, but was a little bit disappointed about the extra charge for Rice. Shouldn't rice come with the curry?

    4. Cashew nut chicken. I've had cashew nut chicken and another Thai restaurant as well. I think this one was all right.

I'm still on the search for the best Thai restaurant in Lake Forest. This place is a little bit out of the way for me. Despite the friendly service, I think I'll try other places next time I'm craving Thai food.

I had a business meeting in the area and Bhan Baitong Thai Cuisine came highly recommended by my colleague. He definitely seems to be a regular here. The location is a bit hidden away, but they were still incredibly busy during peak hours.

For beverages, he had a Singha and I had a Thai Tea (complimentary with Yelp-Check in). I felt like the cup was primarily ice, and high ratio of cream to the tea. Not taking points off for this since it is complimentary. I had to ask them for 2 waters in addition to our beverages, which they were not great about refilling.

One thing that really impressed me was their chili assortments brought to each table. There was dry chili, chili paste, green chilis and green and red chilis. This is a spicy lover's dream! And one of the reassuring point of this restaurant's authenticity.

We shared a Beef Pad See Ew ($10.95 + extra $1 for beef) and a Chicken Yellow Curry ($8.95) with a side of steam rice ($1.50).

The Beef Pad See Ew is one of my favorite traditional thick rice noodle dishes pan fried with egg and Chinese broccoli. The dish was delicious, but a bit on the oily side. The portion was a decent size and overall good value.

The Chicken Yellow Curry had a really delicious sweet and creamy curry base with fancy cuts of potato and carrots. I wish the curry was a thicker and less watery consistency, but the flavors were all on point. There was a good amount of chicken in there. The one thing I really resent is when an entree that should come with rice, requires you to buy the additional side of rice. It feels like extortion.

Bhan Baitong Thai Cuisine was a great spot to continue our work discussions due to their great neglect. We had to flag them down for any ounce of service and of course to get our check and boxes. Water was never refilled. It's a good thing for them their food was delicious, but service has room for improvement.

This is our 2nd time here, and this review is purely for this lunch meal.  We also decided to order dishes we haven't had before.

Remember to check into Yelp first before you order and you'll get a free Thai Tea, which was on the sweet side. I prefer it slightly stronger.

As usual the place was clean and comfortably cool. The servers were nice and friendly.

All of the meals were on the light spice side since it's summer and it's too hot outside. We ordered Spicy Fried Rice which I give a 3.5 stars. My fave is still the Crab Fried Rice which to me is a 4.5. Tom Yum Soup with Beef. This one I'm giving a 3.5 I must say, Shrimp is still the best but we just had to try it. The last was Pineapple Curry with Shrimp, which was very good. Definitely, a 4.5.

Pad See Ew with tofu was inedible... the amount of pepper on the noodles was so over whelming. I've had many pad see ew dishes in my life and I know that this is not what it should taste like. I don't know what happened here but I don't think I'll be back to try anything else. Definitely not normal... The only good thing about this place was that they were fast with my mobile order and friendly. But by the time I got back to work I could barely eat any of my lunch... for $13 I'm underwhelmed and still hungry. ):
